The Bamboo Village Thrikkaipetta community, in collaboration with the Wayanad Orphanage Vocational Higher Secondary School and the National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit Kuttamangalam, organised a clean drive in Thrikkaipetta. The waste collection initiative aimed to make the Bamboo Village plastic-free and promote cleanliness in the surroundings.
Ninety NSS volunteers and over twenty Bamboo Village Thrikkaipetta members participated in the drive, covering the area from Mandad to Nellimalam. Meppadi Panchayat Health Inspector Anil Kumar N inaugurated the event.
NSS coordinators and Bamboo Village Association members led the initiative, spreading awareness about the importance of cleanliness, waste segregation and plastic elimination.
