Bamboo Village Thrikkaipetta proudly celebrated World Bamboo Day on September 18, 2025, with a series of engaging programs and activities at Government High School Thrikkaipetta. The event aimed to raise awareness about the environmental, cultural, and economic significance of bamboo, while showcasing innovative bamboo products and sustainable practices.
Dhanya Indu, a representative of Bamboo Village Thrikkaipetta, delivered a message highlighting the importance of bamboo in sustainable development to the students.
Village representatives and school service scheme volunteers participated in a bamboo tree planting ceremony, emphasizing the role of bamboo in environmental conservation. Live demonstration of bamboo products were arranged for students.
A diverse range of units participated and showcased their products in the event, including Bhavam, Praseedam, Giant Grass, Sushi, Pacha Life, Urav Eco Links, Kalagia, World of Bamboo Bamboo Nursery, Thiruvathira Value Added Agro Products, Thrikkaipatta Paithrikgramam, Padma Arts, Thrikkaipatta Pickles, Dreams Dry Flower, Kalam, and Sristhi.
